Our wedding coordinator, Sandra O’connel was so helpful and made our day go super smooth. Since we had a wedding on a site where we had to bring all the vendors in ourselves (food, tent, bathroom trailer, etc) we couldn’t have done it without Sandra. Sandra was there to help every step of the way. Prior to the wedding day, she helped us make sure all the contracts were written correctly, helped us figure out our needs from our tent rental company, the drink needs, and more. Our food caterer didn’t quite have the staff for such a large event so Sandra brought in a staff of 18 people to bartend, pass hors devours, serve dinner, and set up and take down the site.  She managed the staff, connected with the vendors, and coordinated the ceremony. She was always attentive to what we wanted and helped to make our vision for our wedding day come true.

Advice:

A do it yourself wedding is totally possible. You get to have the wedding exactly the way you want it and although there may be more vendors and a couple more choices to make (which glasses do we need, how much beer should we buy, what about drink mixers?) designing your own wedding makes for a wedding that really expresses who you are as a couple.
